According to Wikipedia or wherever else you look to find the definition of a suit you'll see it as a set of garments made from the same cloth, consisting of at least a jacket and trousers. I know you remember the days of feminine suits being mainly for the office and not really worn for style but for professional reasons and agendas. You also remember them being mostly long pant suits or skirts with the plain colored button down worn with it right? Single breasted or Double breasted I am sure you know exactly what I'm talking about.. well blah blah boring suit.
Lets take the suits out of the office, those long boring black and navy matching suits and add some color and make it short. Lets add some new texture and take them out to dinner.. or wear it to a summer wedding. Wear it to a fashion show or to the opera.
For all of you fun, sassy and stylish ladies I know you spotted this trendy short suit somewhere while browsing online or maybe even in person. A lot of them floral or with fruits or just some great eye catching pattern. I love them all however I would like to show some ways we can mix and match this amazing one color short suit or just ways how to wear one.
Remember we are mixing and matching using different random pieces of the same material or mixing and matching using totally different materials.
Here is how we do it. Get a blazer and some shorts. Remember materials can match but they really dont have to be brought together.. , but keep in mind we are still trying to achieve a very professional yet stylish look so dont go mixing denim black shorts with a black blazer. This is not the look we are going for! Instead mixing chiffon textured pieces or leather is more dressy and what we want. You can still go with your same material blazer and shorts but and adding pops of color to an all white suit can be an amazing way to mix it up a bit.
Do you love short suits?
What materials would you mix together?
Hope you all are inspired!
